Counseling and Administration

Suzanne Holm is the property manager at Whispers of Hope, a personal retreat and counseling center for women. Located in Minnesota, Whispers of Hope began as a residential counseling center for young women and now offers opportunities for women to take a personal retreat or receive Christ-centered counseling. Women can request to receive an intensive, one-day Biblical counseling session. Whispers of Hope offers these services at no cost.

As the property manager, Suzanne cares for Whisper of Hope’s seven (7) acres, including the livestock, flower beds, and fruit and vegetable gardens. She also oversees building and vehicle maintenance and directs the work of volunteers who help care for the grounds. All staff at Whispers of Hope are volunteers, with the option of raising personal financial support. The organization does not fundraise nor use government funds, but relies on God through prayer to meet needs. The WOH staff have seen God work in mind-blowing ways as He provides in His perfect timing.

Suzanne earned a Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling from Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2011 and has received additional training through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. She joined GLINTS in 2013 and has enjoyed seeing God at work at Whispers of Hope where she engages with guests through divine appointments, modeling how to live for Jesus.

Please pray that God will keep Suzanne and the staff of Whispers of Hope in complete dependence on Him, growing in spiritual maturity and compassion, so that God would be glorified in their lives and ministry.

Levi & Diane Velasco

Global Leadership Development/Executive Leadership

Levi and Diane began their professional music careers in the Philippines in 1973 and have a dramatic testimony as to how American missionaries helped them establish their relationship with God and connect with a vibrant church in Manila. In 1982, during a month-long missions conference at Greenhills Christian Fellowship, the Velascos committed to pursuing full-time Christian ministry. In 1988, Levi received his Bachelor of Arts in Church Music from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. After this, Levi and Diane engaged in a variety of international ministry roles, including mission field work, church planting, pastoring; and in the United States serving as staff and leadership in local churches and international ministry organizations.

From their multifaceted experiences, Levi and Diane have applied creative innovation, understanding the necessity for ministry organizations to adapt to changing cultural and generational shifts and needs. They established Global Intercultural Services (GLINTS) in 2011 for the purpose of raising the next generation of disciple-makers. Their objective is to utilize best practices to fulfill their mission to accelerate the global advance of the Gospel. GLINTS also applies a customized approach to missions, encouraging current and future staff to work within their unique gifting and calling.

Besides their continued short-term missions work, Levi and Diane oversee the daily operations of GLINTS. Levi’s responsibilites include mentoring emerging leaders, expanding GLINTS’s donor base and writing contextualized discipleship and Bible study materials. Diane attends to administrative tasks serving GLINTS’s global staff and partners, and networking to expand GLINTS’s vision of disciples-making-disciples worldwide. Wherever they go, they have been used of God to inspire and cultivate those who sense God’s Great Commission call, as well as those in active missions deployment.

Please pray for Levi and Diane that God would give them continued wisdom as leaders regarding where and how GLINTS should be involved around the world. Pray they mange their time wisely, especially in their continued involvement in the lives of their four adult children and seven grandchildren. Pray also that the Lord will identify future leaders for the forward progress of GLINTS’s global ministry.

Dr. AC Acosta’s heart beats for speaking Gospel truth and seeing it transform the lives of believers.
