Rejection . . . redemption . . . restoration – are the three words that outline the life journey of Suzanne Holm. Her life was about pleasing people. Not until she found the Savior in 2001 did she find true love and acceptance.
Jesus, who is the Truth, shed His light on the core lies that controlled Suzanne’s life, releasing her from the bondage of self-destructive behavior. Her journey to restoration brought to life the promises of Isaiah 61:3 “…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
And now hard-learned lessons on this road to restoration has her positioned to be an instrument of healing to hurting young women. As a GLINTS staff member Suzanne has been appointed to work with Whispers of Hope, a place where women can begin the same journey . . . from rejection to redemption and restoration.
Please pray for Suzanne as she serves as the animal and grounds manager at Whispers of Hope in Minnesota. Desiring to work outdoors, she considers this appointment a blessing and a privilege especially since this gives her more dedicated time to work one-on-one with Whispers’ clients. Aside from this, she is also tasked to develop an animal therapy program for Whispers.
Suzanne earned a Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling from Northwestern College, St. Paul, Minnesota (2011).
