Centro de Treinamento e Apoio Missionário (CTAM) is a missionary training and support center that was established in 2015 in the city of Nova Granada, Brazil. Tiago Medeiros serves as its executive director. Its focus is on church mobilization and missionary training. CTAM conducts training and workshops in South American churches around topics such as global vision and evangelism. For missionaries, the organization provides online, in-person, and field training, as well as continuous mentoring and care.

In particular, CTAM desires to engage unreached people groups in the Amazon, including the 10,000 unreached riverbank communities of Brazil. In addition to evangelism, CTAM’s aim is to plant churches and prepare and equip local Christians to lead them. CTAM’s current focus is on the island of Marajó in northern Brazil, where the primary language is Portuguese. Sexual abuse and sex trafficking are rampant on the island. Additionally, CTAM engages in outreach to São José, a previously unreached riverbank community of about 500 on Marajó. São José can only be reached by boat, and the trip takes 6-7 hours. Tiago’s goal is to establish an advanced training post in Marajó focused on practical training for cross-cultural missions.

CTAM became partners with GLINTS in 2017. GLINTS assists CTAM by processing donations and tax documents, providing advice, and conducting on-site visits. The training and mobilization initiatives established through this collaboration have been a great instrument of God in bringing missions awareness to churches in Brazil.

Tiago Medeiros has worked alongside his parents since they founded CTAM. His roles include serving as the training coordinator for the discipleship mission school and field consulting in Marajó. Additionally, he pastors a small local church. Tiago speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English. He has a Bachelor of Theology degree from Horizontes America Latina. He is married to Bárbara, a pharmacist, and together they have two children.
