Kris Wilson

April 16, 2024

Kris’s remarkable journey from a skeptic to a fervent believer highlights her transformative experience and showcases her unique qualifications for serving in intercultural ministry, particularly among the Japanese. Her background combines a profound personal faith journey with a deep understanding and experience of Japanese culture and language through her decades-long engagement with Japanese in the marketplace. Her commitment to sharing the Gospel in Japan, along with her professional, spiritual and ministry experiences, makes her exceptionally suited for intercultural ministry.

Kris handles all ministry activity in North America for Reaching Japan including the raising up and preparation of mission team participants and future church planters to Japan. She also handles communication with ministry partners and all social media campaigns. By having Kris handle much of the administrative work, allows the lead church planter in Nagoya, Japan to focus on ministry activities in-country. Her work is a critical part of God’s plan regarding the salvation of the Japanese.

Any prayer and/or financial support for Kris will certainly have eternal impact in the lives of Japanese worldwide! Here are options to choose from to partner with Kris in the work God has called her to do:

David & Victoria Walker

January 9, 2023

The Holy Land needs Yeshua ha Mashiach! David and Victoria Walker are strategically placed in Jerusalem, living with their three young children in the land where Yeshua – Jesus Christ walked – and is “still walking.” Their passion is to teach the Scriptures not only in Israel but throughout the world. David was a tour guide, completing a rigorous two-year course under the auspices of the Israel Ministry of Tourism and continues online biblical studies. Victoria, having graduated with a degree in Theology (emphasis on Hebrew, Greek and the study of the Dead Sea scrolls), also has a heart for womens’ ministry. The Walkers combine their knowledge of the Scriptures in the original languages, and familiarity with the region where they were written, to effectively communicate the truth of the Scriptures. Their desire is to see more Messianic congregations who follow Yeshua established in Israel. Locally, they are involved in distributing Bibles to multi-lingual Messianic congregations, as well as teaching in their very own congregation.

Partnering with the Walkers will allow them to minister full time in Israel. Please support them both in prayer and finances. Here are varied ways as to send support to the Walkers:

Lynette Young

May 22, 2019

The world is Lynette’s stage. As a daughter of American missionaries, she was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, grew up in Tucumán, Argentina and did her undergraduate education at the University of Oregon (BA Political Science 1995). Because of her cross-cultural upbringing, she has a good command of both English and Spanish.

Sensing God’s call to missionary service, she moved to Montevideo, Uruguay in 2004, ministering alongside her parents as a church planter on La Rambla. This experience gave her the opportunity to grow in the areas of disciple-making, teaching the Bible and witnessing, introducing secular and atheistic Montevideños to Jesus.

Lynette loves the people of Uruguay. In her next season of service, she will be partnering with GLINTS, returning to Montevideo in September to student ministry with Comunidad Bíblica Universitaria (IVCF/IFES), community outreach to her neighbors, and her home church (Rey de Paz ) as a disciple-maker.

GLINTS is grateful for this opportunity to partner with Lynette in reaching the least churched country in the Americas for Christ. Your prayers and financial support are vital to her quick return and effectiveness as a minister of the Gospel.

You can make a difference in Uruguay by supporting Lynette financially. You may send your donations by:

Stephen & Erika Croft

June 14, 2017

Stephen and Erika are embarking on a life journey towards serving long-term in Japan. Their decision has been confirmed through life experiences (short term trips to Japan and Japan-focused conferences) and the counsel of godly mentors.

As GLINTS associate global staff, Stephen’s primary assignment will be ministering to Japanese who have registered to learn English as a second language. He will serve full time as an instructor for a year. Stephen and Erika’s long term vision is to raise disciples in Japan through workplace ministries (Stephen) and women’s and orphan ministries (Erika).

The Crofts obtained bachelor’s degrees from Biola University- Stephen in Intercultural Studies, Erika in Psychology.

Stephen and Erika are excitedly looking forward to leaving for Japan in July and are looking for churches, families and individuals to support them as they embark on this journey into full-time cross-cultural ministry overseas, following the Lord in obedience.

Will you join their support team through your prayers and financial gifts? As you consider your response, here are the avenues by which you can express your commitment:

Ruben and Simona Crisan

May 9, 2017

Ruben and Simona Crisan both grew up in Christian families in Romania. They separately found their way to the United States with Ruben and his family moving when he was 8 years old and Simona migrating by herself when she was 22 through a visa lottery.

Both of them also grew up with a love for music and travel, and have used their talents to serve God in the local church, as well as by participating in multiple short term missions trips.

Sensing that God is calling them to international, cross-cultural ministry in the future, Ruben and Simona began attending Levi Velasco’s (GLINTS founder) missionary prep program (MPP) class at the Moody Church in 2013. Their desire to serve as a couple in short term missions led them to take the GLINTS Global Ministry Assessment Course (GMAC) in March 2017.

The Crisans have sought opportunities to serve in areas of the world where there are great needs, especially with children and in influencing the younger generation, the world’s future leaders.

You can participate in the Crisans’ ministry by praying for them and giving financially. They will need a back-up team here in the U.S. to be effective servants of the Lord as they respond in obedience to the Lord!  Here’s how to give:

Mel Andricks

April 13, 2017

Mel has been engaged in Great Commission work for most of her adult life.  Healthcare, education, mentoring and church planting have kept Mel busy for 36 years.  After graduating from Moody Bible Institute in 1987, she and her family worked among the Yao people of Malawi. Her current involvements include teaching English to refugees, being an online missionary and coaching missionary candidates.  She initiated and helped produce the Jesus Film in her native language, Ivatan, and traveled to Batanes Island, Philippines where it was shown last year.

Her passion to reach the Ivatans in Batanes Island for Christ continues to grow. She’s taking the next step in her missionary journey to develop discipleship training programs using the Jesus Film as a springboard. Mel envisions raising an army of trained Ivatans to carry the torch of Christ for generations to come.

Pray for Mel as she embarks on this God-sized vision. You may give towards her ministry by:

Charles and Anne Marie Smoker

November 5, 2016

“Sports is a language the Japanese understand,” concluded Charles after outreach events in Japan during the World Cup in 2002. Having served in Japan since 1999, Charles and Anne Marie Smoker refocused their ministry, leveraging Charles’ passion of combining evangelism and sports to reach the Japanese for Christ.  During some days, Charles spends time in the classroom of a local Japanese pre-school, middle and high school where he engages the youth with English conversation and/or sports, developing relationships in the local community.

One of Anne Marie’s core values is to serve in the area of administration. Some of her roles include Operations Director of the Church Planting Institute in Japan, ministry event coordinating in Japan and globally, and being involved in Business as Mission which involves coordinating a short film festival to make kingdom connections in one of the largest cities in the world where they reside (Tokyo, Japan).  Aside from their individual ministry responsibilities, Smokers minister alongside believers at Grace Harbor Church in downtown Tokyo.

Pray with them as they seek to raise a new generation of Christ-followers.  Charles and Anne Marie have three grown children – Zach, Kyle and Ashley.

You can make a difference in Japan by supporting the Smokers financially. You may send your donations by:

Ed and Luisette Kraal

September 20, 2016

SSIM is a mission organization committed to raising up Christ-followers in the Caribbean. A duly registered non-government organization in the Country of Curaçao, SSIM seeks to make disciples through sound biblical teaching in schools, conferences and outreach events. SSIM also serves as a mission board for future workers in the Caribbean, supplying literature, music paraphernalia and training in biblical stewardship.

Ed and Luisette Kraal hail from the island-country of Curaçao. Answering the call to further their theological education, they left their marketplace careers and received educational degrees from the Baptist University of the Americas, culminating in their receiving masteral degrees in intercultural ministries from the Moody Theological Seminary. They feel it is time to return to the Caribbean, teaching God’s Word not only to make disciples but to strengthen the Caribbean Christian community as well. Ed and Luisette have one daughter, Jo-Hannah.

GLINTS welcomes Saved to Serve International Ministry (SSIM) and the Kraals to its growing family of partner ministries and global staff members.
