Gladys Behymer’s heart beats for missions. Having served in short-term missions to Belize, the Philippines, Ukraine and Japan, she and husband, Dan, embarked on a dream to serve as career missionaries in Japan (2009). God closed the door to this dream as Dan developed a debilitating illness, and he subsequently graduated to heaven in May 2016.
Recently retired from the workplace, Gladys desires to use her degree in business and decades of experience as an administrator in different ministries all over the globe. She already is using her skills for mission work as GLINTS’ volunteer bookkeeper initially, later becoming its finance manager.
Travel with a purpose is what Gladys calls this new chapter in her life. And her journey begins this May. She will join the GLINTS team on a short-term mission trip to Poland to assist behind-the-scenes in the running of the annual European Leadership Forum (ELF). There will be five from GLINTS joining a mostly-American team of volunteers who will serve over 700 delegates from 45 countries in Europe. After the ELF, together with Levi and Diane Velasco, she will continue to Spain to minister in a prison, drug rehabilitation center and a hospital.
