Atsen’s life journey began in the mountains of Nagaland, Northeast India. When Atsen read the Bible at age 9, Christ dramatically entered his life and changed him. He started leading worship at local house meetings when he was 15. He went on to study economics and philosophy in New Delhi where he served with collegiate ministries. His music and theology education brought him to the US, where he completed degrees at the Evangelical Institute’s School of Biblical Training and the Moody Bible Institute. He served in leadership positions in both schools. This summer, he will travel to Israel with MBI tours as a worship leader before heading to Asia.
An avid photographer, Atsen seeks to immerse himself in Kingdom work through the mediums of musical and visual arts. His passion is to bring hope and healing to the scourge brought about by human trafficking in young people’s lives. Beginning this summer, his travels will take him to Israel, Thailand, India, and Nepal where he will be visiting children’s homes and other anti-sex trafficking ministries. His goal is to bring their “world” into the mainstream of society, creating pathways to eradicate this societal malady.
Atsen is the founder of Faces and Stories, a community of artists committed to being the voice of the voiceless. He is in the midst of completing his music album, the goal of which is to bring hope and healing to the abused.
